Angels And The Space Between Exhibition

On 22nd September at 7pm Canela Cafe (address below) are holding an open evening to launch their Art Show. A selection of images from my 'Angels And The Space Between' series will be shown.

The evening concludes at 9pm. However my work will remain on display in the cafe for three weeks.

The work of two fantastic artists will also be on show.

Oh and there will also be wine tasting and nibbles.

‘Angels And The Space Between’ is a corroborative project with Kirsten Blake who organises the Canela Art Club in this wonderful cafe.

The intent was to create a panel of images that slowed the viewer down and stopped them 'strolling on by'. To ask the viewer to use their imagination as to the story being told. To get out of the habit of scrolling on by images and work, to really look at work that may catch your eye.

The open night also gives you the chance to discuss the work with the artists.

We are so used to being ‘shown' images rather than ‘seeing’ them that we miss a lot of the content and subtle messaging within them, so chatting with the creator of the work you are viewing can prove very interesting and make you see things in a different way.

So if you want to do something different from watching the TV or burying your face in a phone screen scrolling by loads of images then come along and meet the artists and discuss the story behind their work with them. Make new discoeveries! You'll look at art and photographs in a new light afterwards!

Of course it helps to have a glass of wine too, so a wine expert is bringing along some wine for you to taste as you wander this lovely little cafe really taking in and understanding the work in front of you. So come along to :-
